  • Have you always been crafty?

Andreanna: Yes. Growing up my grandmother would take me to Woolworths and buy me all sorts of crafty knick knacks which I would end up gluing into little scenes. As I grew up and hit my teens I would make scrapbooks of celebrities. I had stacks of them with pictures of anyone from River Phoenix to the New Kids on the Block. As I got older I experimented with more mediums. When I was in my early 20s I discovered clay and decided to make all the candle holders I my apartment with it. so my love of clay just grew from there.

What was it the spurred you to create Glamasaurus?

Andreanna: I wanted something of my own. I have sold my crafts on other websites but I wanted a place to feature my creations without having people worry it's some fly by night operation. In the future I plan on expanding Glamasaurus to have more of a community feel to it rather than just an online shop.

    Tell me about the shop.

Andreanna: Well since all the items in the shop are made by me most of them are limited quantity to one of a kind. The shop is pretty basic although we do have a function where customers can review products which I think is good for both myself and any future customers.
Where is your customer base right now? Do you have more overseas orders?

Andreanna: Mainly I get orders from the US. I will get a few on this side of the pond too but the majority are overseas.

What kinds of materials do you use?

Andreanna: I primarily use polymer clay. I am hoping to change that in the near future and have a more variety of materials available.

What is your inspiration for the gear you create?

Andreanna: I make what I like. If I wouldn't wear it I wouldn't make it.

Where do you make it all? Do you have a set up at home?

Andreanna: I have a craft table which I never use. I end up sitting in the living room with a movie on creating away. I tried having the whole specified crafty place but it didn't work for me. I need distractions since my attention span is that of a 6 year old.

What are your long term goals for Glamasaurus?

Andreanna: Wherever the road takes us. If we prosper great. If we fail well we just have to try again.
