Talking about Wax & Wane and then AMOM is a wonderful example of Valiant Death supporting artists that are so different from each other, and yet all still quality. With descriptions, I'd say AMOM is rock that isn't afraid to mess around with music and actually have some fun with the process. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this three (sometimes four) piece is having fun. On the track All that Need be Said, there is a whole lot of fun and a whole lot of passion for the project there too. There are times when the experimenting with different sounds leads to a different sort of song, and that's what makes AMOM a standout for me, making songs that almost sound like they could be done by different bands, and making that work. On the track Friendeater, there are some slow down parts, but in general it's a really driven track that isn't exactly hard, but has less of a singsong sort of feel than All that Needs be Said. They have a track called You Can Tell the Quality of an Artist by the Quality of his Smock, though it's generally referred to as Smock, this track is like the different facets of AMOM all bundled up for you in a neat little package. AMOM have a few tracks up on their MySpace page you should check out so you can form your own opinion of the band.
AMOM have finished their album, World Made us Crazy, and it's slated for release by Valiant Death in July/06.
