In the closer to this anthology, Dave says 'though I hope it was
an enjoyable read, this isn't intended as just entertainment.' On Subbing
is a wonderful read, all the way through and there is something to learn
here. Actually, there's a lot to learn from this collection. There are humorous tales like the whole cutting of gummy bears in half with a plastic butter knife, but there are also recounts of some of the delays the kids are dealing with and how that affects them, and really how those around them cope, or don't. |
