The rundown of the zine in general; it's full size, newsprint, fairly traditional in design (in a good way). Columns come at you first, most are very well written and you're reading because you're interested, not just to get through it. Out of the seven columns, I felt the best read was one called '…and one for the ladies', with an interview within the column with Ruth of Mordam Records. Buckets and buckets of music reviews, all well written and most of them interesting enough to get you to want to hear it if you haven't already. A well researched interview with Machetazo, a funny piece called Gimmie Five - What are your five brushes with celebrity?, interviews with The Endless Blockade, and Total Fucking Destruction, round out this issue. In the midst of all this there is a very detailed, step by step tutorial to making a quilt out of all your treasured (and maybe now unwearable) band t-shirts. Yup. |
