VirusHow would you describe your music to those who didn't get a chance to listen to it(and were too lazy to read the article? Sahara It's a little bit hard to describe it, because the songs are quite different from each other. But it is definitely rock, because that's what we like and it's the way we feel musically. VirusWhy did you name the band Sahara? Sahara :) It was Ciprian (our bass player) who suggested that, and we agreed, because we needed a name for the band when we had to participate to our first contest Festival (at about a month after we got together as a band). VirusHow do you feel about the fact that you have 3 songs on "MUSIC OF THE GLOBE No.1"? Sahara We are glad to see that our music is appreciated in the States, even if we didn't have any song in English on that compilation. Virus You said you can fill a one hour concert, yet you only have a demo with 5 songs. Do you think you can get a label or CD anytime soon? |
Sahara At least, we're hoping to do that, soon, because we have songs for an album. Although we don't want to rush things, because if we make an album, we want to create an excellent one.
Virus Looking through the biography and info on the band, you guys played in bands of totally different genres. Wasn't it hard to switch?
Sahara No, it wasn't hard, because that's the way we feel to express right now. Also, it may seem to be a big difference in the genres we played, but, in fact, it's not like that at all. Also, the music we have on our website (the songs on the demo) may sound a little bit "softer", but live we sound pretty heavy (we have cover songs from Anouk, Guano Apes, Metallica, etc.)
Virus How do you think the band has changed over the years?
Sahara It's a little bit hard to answer this question. Maybe it would be easier for somebody who saw us when we began playing with SAHARA and then see us now. But I think that we had our "evolution" and, hopefully, it is for the best.
Virus If you were to pick a song or two that you think is special, or you like most, which would it be?
Sahara This is a tough one and I think that every one of us shoul get an answer to this question. But for, me, I think that every now and then there may be a song or two that I like most.
