3D Elyesium

When I first met Lucas Kemp I didn't know what an amazing musician he was, however during a trip to Stratford , Ontario, I soon found out. Lucas is the guitarist for 3D Elyesium, along with his friends Tyler Hartwick on bass, and Eli Franken on drums. The band are influenced by many bands including Coldplay, Sum 41, and Interpol. Lucas made it very clear that the Strokes are his biggest influence over all. 3D Elyesium was formed 11 months ago and sounded amazing as they preformed in Lucas's attic, where the walls are decorated with record cases from all sorts of musical artists. Although they play often and practice in the attic, they haven't played any shows in other places, yet.

As I talked to Lucas more I began to see his true passion for music, and his hopes to make it out of Stratford, a town which is mostly known for its theatre attractions, and make music his career, but also as something to do for fun. He also plans on learning to play guitar while singing, as the band has no vocalist, but are currently looking for another guitarist. When I asked about the music scene in Stratford, Lucas told me there were quite a few bands for a small town. When asked if he believes coming from a small town is going to make it hard to get noticed he said he believes it is only a small bump in the road and "I think we can get noticed". I have to agree they have a good chance, all three have amazing skill with their instruments and definitely have what it takes to get noticed. Lucas plans on recording son, but there is no set date as of yet. Finally when I asked Lucas what made him want to start he said "My love for making my own music and being with friends who enjoy it as well'. Words that all musicians should live by.

I would like to thank Lucas for his time, and helping me get this first article done. I can't wait to write more and I hope you all read next time. For now have a great week and all that crap.
