This Cali four piece have a punk sound that make you think Cali, without being overly typical. What I really dig about Easily Amused, especially on this album is their songwriting, it is beyond honest, and it no doubt has a social aspect to it, without being overly political, more like less then average conceptions of standard social scenes by saying more than just 'you're such a poser' [From Trendy]; To the lengths of being unified as any type of class / Simply dressing, acting, faking will not get you past / Or to the barrier of your expectations / You stand for your own false proclamations. Food Song is classic punk-ska, and Satanic Starfish and Oew it to the Mac are more nu-punk, they're all over the place with this disc, so the whole CD is a good listen, so you're never stuck in 'didn't-I-just-hear-this-a-song-or-two-ago? hell'. |
