Sending us snail mail about your project All packages, letters and presents should be sent here: Virus Zine 689 Queen Street West #95 Toronto, Ontario M6J 1E6 We get a lot of mail, so sending us a quick email to be on the lookout for your package is really helpful. A little note with the package is nice too, but I don't want to push it. :P We will let you know we've received something from you and take it from there. Sending us links and info about your project It's nice to get CDs and info packages in the mail, but that gets expensive! Feel free to send us a friendly email about your project with links to more info about it. You can send info to Maytina or Nikki, or go through the list on the about us page. Sending us a written contribution We don't put a length requirement on articles submitted to us, because each piece is different, so use your judgement. If you need more direction than that email one of us and we'll try to muddle through it with you. Be sure to include photos and/or artwork to accompany your article or interview, and include a photo credit. We wont post images without knowing where the image came from. It should go without saying, but also please let us know who wrote the article. For interviews, if the interview does not cover background, include a bio of the band/person you're interviewing. Again, don't just rip it from their site, ask permission first. And, of course, include as much contact information as possible about you and whoever/whatever the piece is about. Ideas If you have an idea for an article or interview, or you'd like you/your band to be interviewed for Virus, get in touch. We're friendly, I swear. Feel free to whip up your contribution and send it on in without asking a million questions first. We're flexible about that sort of thing and we not only respect but we encourage, a wide range of writing styles on this site. We're always excited to add someone new to our little disfunctional family, so if you can commit to making ongoing contributions in the forms of a column or just regularly submitted content, get in touch! |
